New From Sons of Liberty Gun Works: MK1 Frog Skin Rifles
Sons of Liberty Gun Works (SOLGW) has announced a limited-production run of MK1 rifles finished in historically inspired Frog Skin camouflage to mark the U.S. Marine Corps’ 250th birthday. The special edition recreates WWII-era Frog Skin patterns used in the Pacific Campaign and will be available in Jungle and Beach variants.

Built as SOLGW’s flagship fighting rifle, the MK1 starts with billet upper, lower, and rail receiver components and a proprietary MK1 rail system.
Key features include a continuous M1913 Picatinny top rail, integrated cable routing, laser texturing, and 7-sided M-LOK slots. The extended barrel nut is titanium with a high-performance coating for heat management.
Barrels are a medium contour with 3-groove polygonal rifling, 5/8Ă—24 muzzle threads, and a .750" gas journal.
The rifle uses an enhanced A5-length buffer system for improved recoil control and ships with premium components: an NP3-coated bolt carrier group, Liberty charging handle with reduced-profile latches, Liberty two-stage trigger, and an ambidextrous Badger selector. Ergonomics include a B5 grip and either an SBA5 brace (pistol) or Magpul MOE-TR stock (SBR).

In celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corp, our Devil Dogs wanted to do a fun project and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how our Cerakote shop did on this project.” said Nate Horvath, CEO and former Marine. “These limited-edition rifles are available for pre-order on our website or via your favorite SOLGW dealer. We will be shipping these by the first week of December, or sooner.”
