Henry Honors America’s 250th With Ultra-Limited Spirit of ’76 Rifle
With the United States approaching its 250th anniversary in 2026, Henry Repeating Arms has unveiled a highly exclusive commemorative firearm: The Spirit of ’76 Semiquincentennial Edition. Limited to just 250 examples, the rifle is intended as a collector-grade tribute to the nation’s founding and the historical events that defined it. I wonder if any of them will ever be used and fired?
Henry Repeating Arms @ TFB:
The rifle is built around Henry’s New Original Henry platform, a faithful reproduction of the lever-action rifle patented by Benjamin Tyler Henry in 1860. While the external design closely mirrors the original, the action has been adapted to chamber the .44-40 WCF cartridge, allowing the rifle to remain practical while preserving historical character.
Visually, the Semiquincentennial Edition is centered around an engraved nickel-plated brass receiver with selective 24-karat gold accents. The engraving work presents a detailed historical motif highlighting key symbols and moments associated with the American Revolution. These include scenes from the Revolutionary War, Independence Hall, imagery referencing the signing of the Declaration of Independence, early American flags, and symbolic national iconography such as the bald eagle. The engravings are complemented by a depiction of the sword carried by George Washington during the war.
The rifle is equipped with a polished blued octagon barrel and matching magazine tube, along with a hand-selected rosewood buttstock chosen for its figure and color. A nickel-plated brass crescent buttplate with a trapdoor further reinforces the period-correct presentation. Each rifle is individually serialized and will be sold factory-direct.
The price of the Henry The Spirit of ’76 Semiquincentennial Edition rifle is $4,115. More information is available through Henry Repeating Arms’ official website: https://www.henryusa.com/firearm/the-spirit-of-76-semiquincentennial-edition/
