Airman 1st Class Marcus White-Allen, assigned to F.E. Warren Air Force Base and a part of the 90th Missile Wing also known as the “Mighty Ninety”, who was under investigation for the fatal July shooting of fellow airman Brayden Lovan, has been found dead, making it the   fourth death at the base since July   and the second that we can confidently directly link to the original incident.

More News @ TFB:

This fatal chain of events began on July 20, when Airman Lovan was killed in a suspected on-duty incident involving the Sig Sauer-produced M18, immediately triggering a base-wide and then command-wide pause on use of the pistol.

Gen. Thomas Bussiere, Commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, responded to the incident: “Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety and security of our personnel, the pause will remain in place pending the completion of comprehensive investigations…” Security Forces switched to the M4 rifle for regular duty, while every M18 at AFGSC bases underwent immediate inspection. Out of 7,970 service pistols inspected, 191 (2.4%) of them showed issues—mostly component wear.

After the investigation and inspections, cleared M18 pistols were returned to service. Air Force Global Strike Command Security Forces Defenders are resuming their duties with M18s that have successfully passed inspection, deeming them both safe and effective. After the reinstatement of the guns to service, Marcus White-Allen later became the focus of the investigation, facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, obstruction of justice, and making a false official statement in Lovan’s death. White-Allen was subsequently found dead in October, though details surrounding his death remain under review.

White-Allen’s death marks the fourth death for the Wyoming base. After the original incident in July involving White-Allen and Lovan, Airman Joshua Argon was accidentally shot and killed by another airman ( Jadan Orr) with an AK-47 in mid-August. Barely one month later, Airman Marcus Jackson was similarly found dead off base in Fort Collins in an apparent murder suicide involving one civilian. In total, four airmen and one civilian have died in separate incidents connected to F.E. Warren since July.

Col. Terrance Holmes, commander of the 90th Missile Wing, gave a statement, “It is with deep sadness that we face the loss of a member of the Mighty Ninety, and on behalf of our entire team, I offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the lost individual.” The base has officially acknowledged the October 8th death and indicated that further details will be shared once available.
