B.E. Meyers & Co. has been awarded a contract exceeding $5,000,000 by the U.S. Special Operations Command for the Miniature Aiming Laser - Ultra High Power (MAL-UHP) program. The MAL-UHP is built on the company’s DAGIR Multi-Platform Advanced Laser System platform. While USSOCOM selected the DAGIR-V1 for the Squad Aiming Laser - Ultra High Power (SAL-UHP) program in the fall of 2024, the MAL-UHP uses the DAGIR-V2. The DAGIR-V2 retains the same capabilities as the SAL-UHP, but adds a dedicated visible-laser override button for immediate visible-laser use without mode switching.

B.E. Meyers @ TFB:

The DAGIR series pairs a low-profile form factor with VCSEL technology for fully digital control of visible and infrared aiming and illumination. Engineered for weapon-mount use it offers synchronized digital power/divergence control, rugged environmental durability, and a Wakizashi™ communications port for Unity® Tactical remote integration. Developed with user feedback and manufactured in the USA, DAGIR is described as representing the next evolution in combat laser systems.

The B.E. Meyers & Co. MAL-UHP is a weapon mountable NIR illuminator and NIR + visible aiming device incorporating advanced VCSEL technology with Vis Override built in. Intended for everything from close-range carbine use to high-power extended-range machine gun applications, as well as integration with remote weapon stations and other platforms.

Here’s a video that explains the system in detail.

If we ever get a civilian version, its price will make the BE Meyers MAWLs look affordable in comparison.

I'm glad to see that more manufacturers are getting away from building lasers designed to aim around front sight posts.

Center bore aligned aiming lasers are going to be the future.
