PSA's retro brand Harrington & Richardson is now shipping one of the new models we saw at SHOT Show 2026. The Model 606 is a faithful recreation of one of the first M16-based squad automatic weapons. It also seems like an ideal candidate for a forced reset trigger.

Few guns exude as much 1980s-ness as the Colt Model 635. It was the perfect encapsulation of a timeframe, taking the Vietnam veteran M16 and adapting it for the streets of the cocaine wars. PSA sub-brand Harrington & Richardson has reintroduced the 635 as a pistol with an arm brace, and they sent one to me for review.

Palmetto State Armory’s booth at SHOT Show is always a busy place, thanks in part to the volume of new and interesting guns they have on display each year. 2026 was no exception to that trend. Let’s go through some of the new things in the booth this year.

PSA is reviving the AAC brand’s MPW line of firearms, with a twist. There will be both homages to the original rifles and some new takes on the idea. Keep reading for all the details.

Palmetto State Armory has expanded with a suppressor lineup with two new BT5-pattern units designed around Inconel construction: the Sabre BT5 5.56 Inconel and the Sabre Compact BT5 Mini 5.56 Inconel. Both models are offered in flat dark earth (FDE) and black finishes, giving shooters a choice in appearance while maintaining consistent materials and internal geometry across the series.

Palmetto State Armory has expanded its JAKL lineup with the release of the PSA JAKL 6.5" 9mm SD Pistol, offered in Flat Dark Earth and configured specifically with suppressed use in mind. The new 9mm JAKL SD features an extended handguard with a 1.8-inch internal diameter, allowing users to tuck a 9mm suppressor under the rail for a cleaner, more compact profile.

Palmetto State Armory has officially released the Olcan, a long-anticipated bullpup variant of the JAKL rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO or .300 AAC Blackout. Built around a 6105 monolithic rifle-length upper receiver, the Olcan relocates the JAKL’s fully captured buffer system into the upper, allowing for its compact bullpup layout while maintaining the platform’s rigidity and operating characteristics.

Introduced at SHOT Show this past January, the Sabre Mixtape Volume 1 is expected to be Palmetto State Armory’s biggest release of 2025. As the newest entry in the Sabre lineup, the ‘Volume 1’ also indicates that this .300 Blackout pistol is the first in a series of future Mixtape variants, but more on that later. For now, the Mixtape is here, and with an October 31st release, one has to wonder whether this PDW will be a trick or a treat.

When someone asks me what AR to buy, there are two questions I always ask back: What are you intending to use the gun for, and what is your budget? If the answer to the first question is “working as a military contractor in a war zone,” then the answer to the second question should be high. However, for many people, an AR will perform some combination of duties like coyote blaster, soda can hunter, carbine class tool, and home defense gun. It is possible to get a lot of gun without breaking the bank, but some guns are much better deals than others.

In February 2023, Palmetto State Armory (PSA) unveiled plans to release its Micro Dagger line of Glock 43X and 48 clones, starting with slides, followed by magazines, and then complete handguns later in the year. The announcement created predictable excitement within the community, as specs included an optics cut and a new Glock-compatible 15-round magazine, not to mention PSA’s tradition of offering products at prices that present considerable value. PSA followed through with its promise to roll out the line; however, later that year, Shield Arms demanded that they stop selling Micro Dagger magazines, claiming the design infringed on its patent for the S15, an aftermarket magazine for the Glock 43X and 48 that also holds 15 rounds and was originally released in 2019. Well, the dispute has finally been decided by a South Carolina District Court, with judgment in favor of PSA.

Palmetto State Armory is always up to something, and that trend continues. A new Mk-18-ish pistol, the PSA-18, is an affordable gateway drug to the world of clones. And H&R is getting into the M14 game once more!

The concept guns are not guaranteed to ever reach the market, and PSA will prioritize the items that captured the most votes in their poll.
