[SHOT 2025] PSA New Releases & Concept Guns
Palmetto State Armory was one of the most talked-about manufacturers at SHOT last year with their whole spate of new projects. 2025 continues that trend with a bevy of new and interesting items. This year included a whole spate of concept guns and some other items that are either in production now or coming soon. The concept guns are not guaranteed to ever reach the market, and PSA will prioritize the items that captured the most votes in their poll.

Concept Gun: Lancet 50 BMG
This was one of the most-discussed guns of the whole show. The gun in the case is a mock-up, but the upcoming design has several goals (assuming it gets enough votes in the Palmetto poll, which seems very likely). It will be gas-operated, and the goal is less than 32 pounds. It will feed from Barrett M82 magazines and will have a 30 MOA incline on the top rail.
Concept Gun: Welrod
This concept item is a straight-pull, manually-operated suppressed pistol. Other dedicated suppressor pistols use an integral pistol but PSA’s idea would be threaded for use with standard silencers. It feeds from a 1911 magazine and uses 1911 grips. Handling it felt like a heavy Ruger Mk 2 and the bolt felt similar as well.
Concept Gun: X9
It feeds from B&T magazines and is chambered in 9mm. It is shown below the X57, which should hit the market at the end of summer 2025.
Concept Gun: Sabre 11
PSA’s goal with the Sabre 11 would be a semi-custom pistol with hand fitting.
Concept Gun: SWCH
This is a Glock clone with a serialized fire control mechanism.
6mm ARC Sabre
PSA’s Sabre line contains their duty-grade models. New for 2025 is a rifle chambered in 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartiridge (ARC). It incorporates the new Magpul ICAR magazine pattern, which is optimized for feeding with the 6mm ARC. That cartridge offers some serious ballistic advantages over the 5.56, but finding magazines that work has been a consistent issue, but Magpul’s new (ok it actually is a little old and shares some DNA with the old SixEight mags) ICAR magazines should solve those issues. PSA has also strengthened the barrel extension and bolt face. It uses the E4 bolt design with 25% larger lugs and a thicker extractor. That is a proprietary design and it matches up with a dedicated barrel extension.
Mixtape
This little gun packs a big punch with the new .338 ARC chambering. That cartridge is optimized for shooting large, heavy subsonic bullets and lighter supersonic bullets without needing adjustments to the gas system. The heavier bullet also means it puts more energy on target than a .300 Blackout when both are loaded to subsonic velocities. It also uses a small-frame design like an AR15 rather than a larger AR10 receiver set.
Vuk
PSA showed the Vuk concept gun last year, and that was best described as a Jakl that took AK mags. The 2025 iteration is a little different.

6 arc, I'd rather in a bolt action, for an AR, I'd rather use 6 max. With 6 max, you are barely under 243 Win. 243 is my preferred round for hunting, and it is very effective up to mule deer sizes and I'd even trust the right bullet against a boar hog.
That 50bmg lancet will be a huge hit if they keep the msrp down.
