Designed for the Can: PSA’s 9mm JAKL SD Arrives

Palmetto State Armory has expanded its JAKL lineup with the release of the PSA JAKL 6.5" 9mm SD Pistol, offered in Flat Dark Earth and configured specifically with suppressed use in mind. The new 9mm JAKL SD features an extended handguard with a 1.8-inch internal diameter, allowing users to tuck a 9mm suppressor under the rail for a cleaner, more compact profile.

At the core of the platform is PSA’s 6105 monolithic upper receiver, designed for compatibility with the AR-V lower receiver. Unlike traditional AR-pattern firearms, the JAKL uses a buffer system that is fully captured within the upper receiver, eliminating the need for a buffer tube and helping to significantly shorten the overall length of the pistol.

This configuration allows the firearm to maintain a compact footprint while still supporting a stable shooting platform. The pistol is completed with an F5 Manufacturing JAKL pistol brace, or a Triangle brace.

Mechanically, the PSA 9mm JAKL SD operates using a direct blowback system and utilizes a 17-4 stainless steel bolt carrier group for durability and consistent operation. The side charging handle is fully ambidextrous and can be swapped from left to right without tools, accommodating a wide range of shooter preferences.

There is also a black anodized version, with a Triangle brace.
