SIG Sauer’s New TANGO-MSR Compact LPVO Riflescopes

So you’ve got a modern sporting rifle, and you want to see what’s beyond that red dot or those iron sights? But you’re not really interested in spending a lot of money? It seems SIG Sauer’s got you covered with their new TANGO-MSR Compact riflescopes. Measuring just 8.4" long and weighing 14.5 oz, it’s ideal for your kind of rifle. I don’t really use red dots on any of my rifle caliber firearms; I keep the red dots for pistol caliber firearms, but the final judgment may depend on what the purpose of the rifle or carbine is.

The TANGO-MSR Compact 1-6x24mm (SFP) is said to be perfect for shooters who require simplicity and reliability. Yours for $399.99. Bear in mind that there’s a factory-mounted ALPHA-MSR aluminum cantilever mount included in this price. The reticle is an illuminated MSR BDC-6.

If six power magnification is not enough, SIG still has you covered with their TANGO-MSR Compact 1-8x24MM (SFP) for $499.99. This version also includes the cantilever mount, flip covers and an illuminated MSR BDC-8 reticle.

If you don’t like these mounts, or already have your own, there’s a version without for the 1-6x which saves you around 100 bucks.

These are said to be 20% lighter and shorter than the previous models, and come with a TANGO6T-DVO removable throw lever. The glass is said to be low-dispersion, for crystal-clear edge-to-edge visuals and all models are waterproof, shockproof, and fogproof.

The reticle has 6 illumination settings and to protect the glass, there are flip-back, lay-flat lens covers (you just need to use them).

    They look good.

I've had the non-compact 1x6 version on my DMR-adjacent hunting AR for a while now, and it's an excellent scope that very effectively acts like a both-eyes-open red dot at 1X. Great value for the price.
