SHOT Show 2026 Facts and Figures
The 2026 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show, better known as SHOT Show 2026, is just around the corner and we thought our readers would enjoy learning about some interesting facts and figures about the industry’s largest exhibition that were published by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the organisation that owns and sponsors the SHOT Show.
SHOT Show is the 9th largest trade show in the entire United States of America (7th largest in Las Vegas). This exhibition brings $88 million to the Las Vegas economy. Attendees from 126 countries and all 50 states will be walking the 13.9 miles of SHOT Show aisles, which is more than half a marathon. More than 2800 exhibitors will be showcasing their products on a total exhibit space of over 830,000 square feet or 19 acres. If your preferred measurement units are military vehicles, that space is enough to park 2,586 M1 Abrams tanks.
NSSF also provides historical data that demonstrates the significant growth of the SHOT Show over the years. The first SHOT Show was held in 1979 in St. Louis, Missouri, with 290 exhibitors and 5,200 square feet of floor space. When compared to SHOT 2026, the number of exhibitors has increased almost tenfold, and the floor space has expanded by approximately 160 times.
Last but not least, more than 2,500 members of the media from across the globe will be covering the show, among whom, of course, will be the TFB and TFBTV crew running the SHOT marathon to find and tell you about the newest and coolest products. Be sure to subscribe to TFBTV as well as the TFBTV Show Time YouTube channels, and check The Firearm Blog daily to stay informed about the most interesting industry news. The SHOT Show 2026 will be held from January 20 to 23.
