Safariland Adds Holster Fits for GLOCK Gen 6 Pistols
Safariland has announced new holster fits for the recently introduced GLOCK Gen 6 series, covering the G17, G19, and G45 models. With the expansion, users of the updated pistols now have access to Safariland’s duty-grade retention systems as well as the company’s inside-the-waistband and everyday carry options. I played around on Safariland’s holster finder and searched for Gen 6 Glocks, and there were already quite a few options available.
For duty and professional use, Safariland is offering Ballast, SafariVault, Solis, and the 6000-series holsters for the Gen 6 G19, G45, and G17. These models are built around the company’s established retention technologies, designed to secure the handgun while maintaining fast access and consistent draw characteristics. The lineup includes Level I, II, and III retention configurations, depending on the model.
For concealed carry, Safariland has added fits across several of its EDC and IWB holster families. The Incog-X, Schema, Species, and Gravity holsters are now available for the new Gen 6 frame sizes, giving users multiple options in terms of material, ride height, and concealment style.

In my humble opinion, Safariland should focus on offering many many more ALS concealment holsters that also accommodate a wide variety of pistol dot optics from the Aimpoint Acro p2 and Trijicon RCR to much smaller enclosed emitter and open emitter optics.
In the context of the above details, those fit offerings should include all the popular models from CZ, HK, Sig, M&P, Walther, Beretta, Ruger RXm, Shadow Systems.
Glock didn't change the gross dimensions, though.
