POTD: Hawkins Precision’s Limited Color Run
None of these parts seems to be available any longer, but that doesn’t mean that the images have lost their golden shine. Photo Of The Day and we take a look at Hawkins Precision’s Limited Color Run in Gold. The parts kit is a Hawkins SA M5 DBM, Altus +2 AICS Pattern Base Pad, (Standard SA Cartridge or BR/Dasher Cartridge), Heavy Tactical 1 Piece Mount (34mm, 1.270", 0 MOA) - all in shiny golden color shown here.
Over the years, I’ve seen some creative ways of making rifles stand out, or virtually disappear, thanks to great camouflage. Anyone running this kind of color scheme is for sure going to stand out. CNC-machined from billet aluminum, this bottom metal incorporates a barricade stop into the front of the magazine well, with a drafted magazine port. There’s also a patented cantilever spring release that will not open under recoil.
