RCBS Adds MatchMaster Precision Trimmer Accessories

The new RCBS MatchMaster Precision Trimmer is getting some new accessory options. These will allow the unit to work with a larger variety of cases and to change more quickly between them. Keep reading for all the details.

Case trimming is one of the worst parts of reloading, but RCBS is making it easier with their new trimming machine. The MatchMaster Precision Trimmer is produced in collaboration with Henderson Precision, the company that first created this trimmer design. The motorized cutting head trims the case to length, chamfers, and deburrs the case all in one go.

RCBS provided me with a review sample of the trimmer, and I am currently putting it through its paces. Look for that review coming soon. The trimmer includes pilots for all common neck sizes from .22- to .30-caliber. RCBS is now adding a .33-caliber pilot for even more cartridge compatibility. The other new release is a spare cutter head without a pilot installed. The beauty of that product is that reloaders can take the pilots from their trimmer set and add them to a cutter head, which can keep the chamfer and deburr settings in place for that neck diameter. Switching between case neck sizes would simply require a swap of the head rather than tuning the cutting tools.

The new .33-caliber pilot has an MSRP of $9.99, the same as the other sizes of pilots. The pilot-less cutter head retails for $74.99, five dollars less than the cutter heads that include pilots. You can order directly from RCBS, or from your favorite retailer.
