Infante Ultrasonics's First Purpose-Built Suppressor Cleaning Solution
Infante Ultrasonics has released Can Tonic, a cleaning solution formulated specifically for ultrasonic suppressor maintenance. The company claims it's the first product designed exclusively for this application rather than adapting existing industrial or firearms cleaning solutions.
The formula targets carbon, lead, and copper fouling that accumulates inside suppressor baffles and end caps. According to Infante, " Can Tonic™ is purpose-built to harness ultrasonic cavitation, penetrating baffles, end caps, and internal passages" where traditional cleaning methods struggle to reach.
Can Tonic specifications include:
- Compatible metals: Stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, Inconel
- Application: Full strength, no dilution required
- Packaging: Half-gallon bottles
- Formulation: Biodegradable, solvent-free, non-flammable, No-VOC
- Shipping: Non-hazardous classification
The product addresses a specific problem in suppressor maintenance. Most suppressors don't disassemble fully, making manual cleaning difficult. Ultrasonic cleaners provide access to internal surfaces through cavitation - the formation and collapse of microscopic bubbles that physically scrub surfaces. Can Tonic is formulated to work with this process rather than relying purely on chemical dissolution.
“Infante® Can Tonic™ is the world’s only ultrasonic suppressor cleaner, engineered exclusively for silencer maintenance. Unlike generic solvents or improvised solutions, Can Tonic™ is purpose-built to harness ultrasonic cavitation, penetrating baffles, end caps, and internal passages to remove carbon, lead, and copper fouling. Safe for aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel. Can Tonic™ sets the industry standard as the first and only dedicated ultrasonic suppressor cleaning solution available today.”
Infante cautions that prolonged exposure may affect aftermarket finishes including Cerakote, anodizing, and nitride. The company specifically advises against using Can Tonic on blued, black oxide, or Parkerized finishes, warning it may remove these treatments entirely.
The solution works with Infante's ultrasonic cleaning systems and is compatible with other ultrasonic tanks. It's used at full strength without mixing, simplifying the process compared to industrial ultrasonic solutions that require specific dilution ratios.
Suppressor cleaning has historically relied on generic solvents, degreasers, or improvised solutions. Whether a dedicated formula provides measurable advantages over existing methods remains to be tested by end users. The market for suppressor-specific cleaning products has been limited, with most shooters using adapted solutions from other applications. Can Tonic is available now. Pricing was not disclosed in the announcement, but on-site, it seems to be at a $70 MSRP.
