WOOX has announced its new Forty-Seven line, a series of upgrade components designed for the AK platform. The lineup consists of two stock options, a pistol grip, and two handguards. All parts are manufactured in Italy and assembled in the United States. The Forty-Seven line includes an American Walnut stock for those who want to retain a traditional AK appearance with updated ergonomics. For users seeking a more modern configuration, the Edge stock is made from aerospace-grade aluminum and attaches via a 1913 Picatinny interface. Both stock types are available in fixed or folding versions.

According to WOOX, the components are engineered with attention to ergonomics and durability. The parts are said to offer precision machining and are intended to provide a premium fit and feel for AK-pattern rifles.

The company states that all Forty-Seven components are crafted in Italy and assembled in the U.S., combining traditional manufacturing methods with contemporary engineering. In terms of pricing, the new product release is very transparent:

  • Forty-Seven Woody Fixed Stock Retail: $219
  • Forty-Seven Woody Folding Stock Retail: $299
  • Forty-Seven Edge Fixed Stock Retail: $169
  • Forty-Seven Edge Folding Stock Retail: $229
  • Forty-Seven Woody Stock, Grip & Handguard Kit Retail: $479
  • Forty-Seven Edge Stock, Grip & Handguard Kit Retail: $479

The Forty-Seven Grip is made from American walnut and features pronounced checkering intended to improve purchase, including when used with gloves. The grip geometry is designed to offer consistent control and maintain suitable trigger reach under varied shooting conditions.

Forty-Seven Grip Retail: $89

The Forty-Seven handguards are offered in short and long configurations. Each model combines precision-machined walnut panels with a hard-anodized aluminum core and incorporates M-LOK slots for accessory mounting. Reinforced hardware is used throughout, and the designs are intended to suit both compact and extended AK setups.

Forty-Seven Short Handguard Retail: $169

Forty-Seven Long Handguard Retail: $199

“The WOOX Forty-Seven line is designed for shooters who demand precision, innovation, and style,” said Ben Fleming, CEO of WOOX USA. “The Forty-Seven brings a new level of refinement to one of the world’s most iconic rifles.” Fleming goes on to say, “The AK has earned its place in history for its reliability and ruggedness. Our goal was to give it the look, feel, and performance worthy of the WOOX name.”

Those screws through the wood are going to conduct the heat directly into your support hand and burn you exactly the way the brass reinforcing pins do on the laminated Russian wood. Absolutely no brain power given to this design. WTF?!?!

Anyone who's ever driven in an Italian car will understand their "form over function" habits when it comes do engineering. It looks damn good and sounds good on paper, but finer details are always what let Italian engineering down.
