About Contour Tactics

Our product, the Forward Operations Grip, AKA F.O.G., was developed from overseas deployments spanning over 20 years.

In the early days, we had a PEQ2 and a light on our rifle.

I wanted a fore grip that could combine several functions and be versatile.

1. Block heat transfer from the barrel to the hand.

2. Provide a pressure plate position/retention / cable management.

3. Combined a forward-hand stop assist with a vertical hand stop assist & be conducive to each other while still being practical.

4. We found that the FOG complements and supports the same style of support hand grip one would use with proper support-hand placement while firing a pistol. Muscle memory for support hand transitioning from pistol to rifle, vice versa.

5. Displaces kinetic energy in support of recoil management - Grips push and pull method provided the forward and rear assist stops.

6. A more natural platform to reduce fatigue for sustainment.

7. Conducive to off-hand transition use of weak-hand support.

8. Training support tool for preferred marksmanship and firearms control.

9. Mounting system - two custom cross bolts & nuts. Mounts a low-profile quad rail rifle and M-Lok/KeyMod handguard rail systems with a five-space Picatinny attachment. Does not mount large quad rail rifle systems.
