POTD: The Cabot Guns Apocalypse MAX
Photo Of The Day, and I think that regardless of what you think of the pistol itself, or the price tag, this is a good-looking piece of art. Cabot Guns has spent more than a decade pushing the boundaries of pistol craftsmanship, combining premium materials with exacting tolerances to produce firearms prized by shooters and collectors alike.
Riding on Cabot’s double-stack architecture, the MAX pairs artistic detail with modern engineering, most notably a one-of-a-kind stainless Damascus slide, and is produced in strictly limited numbers for buyers who expect nothing less than exceptional performance and finish. Only 100 Apocalypse MAX pistols will be built in 2026.
From the product description:
“The Apocalypse® MAX stands apart with its meticulously sculpted 416 stainless steel grip and frame, sourced entirely in the USA, offering flawless balance and a commanding presence. Introducing Cabot’s first 5-inch double-stack with a full-length rail frame, this design enhances control by shifting the center of gravity forward, minimizing muzzle rise for a refined shooting experience. The slide, forged from two grades of stainless steel using time-honored blacksmithing techniques, undergoes a proprietary etching process to reveal a mesmerizing, one-of-a-kind Damascus pattern. Coated in a durable black Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) finish, the slide’s deep black lows contrast with polished stainless highs, showcasing its stunning artistry.“

"Damascus" sppedlines are indeed a great look for a pistol, but it's one which could be had for pocket change on a gun you already own from any place that does hydrodipping.
Can we get a “House of Dynamite” next? Maybe the “Thermonuke”. Just for the end times.
