The New Volquartsen Lightweight Stingray - Bronze Battleworn

The Volquartsen Stingray, once hailed as a visionary design, has made a triumphant return. Its iconic, futuristic aesthetic has been revitalized and enhanced with lightweight tech. To me, this is peak Burnt Bronze Cerakote. Engineered for unyielding accuracy, the Lightweight Stingray sheds excess weight without compromising performance. The stainless steel barrel, featuring a laser-hardened breech, is encased in a sleek, lightweight aluminum sleeve. A striking Bronze Battleworn Cerakote finish gives it a rugged, distressed appearance that commands attention.
For years, the Stingray’s bold style made it a standout among our conversion kits, and the Lightweight Stingray carries that legacy forward. Built on the Ruger® MK IV 22/45 frame, it incorporates our Accurizing Kit and features a convenient push-button takedown for ease of use.
According to the product page:
“Each barrel is made from stainless steel and features a laser-hardened breech face for maximum durability even at extreme round counts exceeding 100,000. This barrel is then threaded into a Ruger MK IV upper receiver. This upper is paired with an Upgraded Ruger MK IV frame and our Competition Bolt.”
The pistol, identified by the number VF4ST-0001, weighs approximately 1 pound and 15 ounces. The barrel measures 6 inches in length, and the magazine has a capacity of 10 rounds. The trigger weight is set at 2.25 pounds, and the muzzle is threaded. Yes, it’s begging for a suppressor (and a red dot) in a similar surface finish. Included are two magazines. The comp is a Forward Blow Comp, and the grip is from Hogue.

I used to be intimidated by my MKII disassembly, but then along came YouTube. It's easy now. Also, I'll take 2 Stingrays because it comes with an extra free magazine 🤣
The disassembly always been intimidating. Without you Tube can't be done.
