For today’s edition of Photo Of The Day, we have pictures of another masterpiece from Cabot Guns OAK (One-of-a-Kind) collection, dubbed the Gothic Guardian. The frame of this government-size .45ACP 1911 pistol is machined out of a solid block of stainless steel and has a Bronze PVD finish. The slide, grips and trigger are made of Damascus steel forged by Master Blacksmith Jason Morrissey.

“In a world cloaked in uncertainty, where the night whispers threats and the dawn demands vigilance, one guardian rises from the abyss to stand eternal watch. Behold Gothic Guardian—the pinnacle of power, forged for those who command the darkness rather than fear it. An artistic fusion of aesthetic and armory, steeped in the mystique of Gothic tradition and the unyielding resolve of a protector. Gothic reflects its dark, ornate design—etched filigree, burnished-bronze and obsidian-black, evoking the haunting elegance of medieval cathedrals, shadowed artistry, and brooding style. Guardian signifies its core mission: a steadfast defender, engineered for precision and reliability to shield its wielder in the face of danger.”

The case of the Cabot Guns Gothic Guardian pistol is made of walnut wood, steel and brass, with every metal element handcrafted by Master Metalsmith Jeff Van de Walker. As the lid of the case is opened, the internal panel lifts to present the pistol.

Is Cabot just about looks and cost? Do they shoot well?

Jesse James makes some 1911’s that are odd looking like that too, here in Texas.

Cabot guns do shoot, but they're no more accurate than my Springfield bowling pin gun. How much better can they be than a 50', 10-shot possible on an NRA target ?

    10 shots / X ring, a shooter can't hold that good, need a Ransom Rest !

"Loud Jewelry" seems an apt description.

I can appreciate the metalwork, but nobody buys a Cabot .45 to shoot it !

FWIW: We know that all of Jesse's guns shoot as he personally test fires ever one, and like his car creations, if it don't meet HIS standards, he scraps it & starts over !
