Kinetic Development Group Introduces FN SCAR Brace & Stock Systems
The FN SCAR is dead! Long live the SCAR! That’s what Kinetic Development Group (KDG) seems to think, as they are now announcing a new FN SCAR–specific brace and stock systems developed in collaboration with Haga Defense and A3 Industries. The components are designed to add modularity and adjustable ergonomics to FN SCAR rifles and pistols.
The FN SCAR @ TFB:
Both systems feature multi-material construction using 7075-T6 aluminum, 17-4 stainless steel, and high-strength polymer. The designs incorporate a folding steel hinge that is said to lock in both the open and folded positions, a seven-position length-of-pull adjustment, and an adjustable cheek riser. The layouts are described as ambidextrous to support left- and right-hand users.
KDG states the assemblies are manufactured and assembled in the United States. The company also notes the parts were engineered for compatibility with the FN SCAR platform and intended for users who want a configurable stock or brace option that preserves a compact folded profile for transport.
Product highlights in short:
- Precision construction: 7075-T6 aluminum, 17-4 stainless steel, and reinforced polymer
- Fully adjustable: 7 positions for length of pull and 3 positions for cheek riser height
- Ambidextrous folding design: Hinges left for compact transport and stow
- USA-made quality: Designed, engineered, and assembled in Connecticut
The KDG FN SCAR Stock is priced at $288.74. Unfortunately, I could not find any images with the brace and stock mounted on a SCAR.
The new KDG FN SCAR Brace and KDG FN SCAR Stock are offered exclusively through OpticsPlanet.com and KineticDG.com. The products are listed as available for purchase immediately, with limited initial quantities reported.
