A Word from Springfield Armory on the NEW Hellcat OSP 380 ACP
“Designed as a purpose-built micro-compact, the Hellcat .380 delivers effective defensive performance while remaining exceptionally easy to conceal. It accepts a class-leading 11+1 flush magazine in its smallest form and includes a 13+1 extended magazine for added versatility. Tritium U-Dot sights provide fast, positive sight acquisition, and the optics-ready slide accepts direct-mount micro red dots for instinctive aiming. Rugged components including a hammer-forged barrel and slide make it a dependable everyday carry. With class-leading capacity for its size, extensive optics compatibility, and a softer shooting impulse that improves control, the Hellcat .380 is a formidable defensive pistol built to perform when it matters most.”

I bought a few "wonder nines" because of rheumatoid arthritis.
after buying to of them and "wondering why" I figured it out.
My 1911 45 auto has a 5 inch barrel and about a 6 inch recoil spring.
depending on which WONDER 9, the barrel is about 3.5 or so and so is their recoil spring.
Furthermore, the stock spring in my 45 auto is 16 pound
In the 9, it is 18 pounds.
SO, I have to rack the 45 auto spring about 1.25 inches which is about 21 percent
on the 9, I have to rack the slide about 1.0 inch which is about 29 percent.
SO, the nines will be harder to rack!!
anybody in TX want to buy a S&W Equalizer or an Girsan MC 9 with the factory mounted red dot? (Dallas area only)
I bought one after owning a 9mm Hellcat. Even as a long time shooter I found the 9mm Hellcat less than fun. The .380 is a sweet shooter with far less recoil in comparison. Not a single stoppage in 243 rounds without a cleaning and that included 33 hollow points. It’s not an easy rack like my Ruger Security.380 or S&W EZ .380 but it’s better than the 9mm version. Still has a mediocre trigger but it’s getting better. Got it a lot cheaper than buying local when I won it on Gun Broker. It’s a keeper.
