EOTECH Launches OGL-C Commercial Laser System
EOTECH has announced the release of the OGL-C, a commercial variant of its On-Gun Laser system that brings the core capabilities of the OGL platform to the civilian market with eye-safe visible and infrared lasers, along with IR illumination. The OGL-C is offered in black or tan and is designed to mount primarily on a rifle’s top rail, though it can be positioned on other handguard surfaces as needed.
The compact housing is only slightly larger than a deck of cards, and features weight-reduction cuts and sufficient spacing between the laser emitters and IR illuminator to avoid interference with front iron sights.
Both the visible and IR lasers are vertically stacked at the front of the unit and are co-aligned, sharing windage and elevation adjustments to simplify zeroing. The adjustable IR illuminator is positioned on the opposite side and allows rapid transition between a wide flood and a tighter long-range beam using a sliding lever. The green visible laser operates at 515 nm and provides 0.5 mW on high power, while the 850 nm IR laser delivers nearly 0.7 mW. The 850 nm IR illuminator adjusts from approximately 105 MRAD to 30 MRAD. All emitters are equipped with lens covers that provide diffusion.
Power is supplied by a single CR123 battery. User controls include a large, raised fire button for momentary or constant-on activation, a tactile rear-mounted mode selector, and an industry-standard rear remote switch port compatible with most pressure pads and hot buttons.
According to EOTECH, the OGL-C was developed with ergonomics and advanced end-user expectations in mind, delivering a full-featured, eye-safe laser aiming solution for civilian and commercial users.
The EOTECH OGL-C has an MSRP of $2,999. More information is available at EOTECH’s official website: https://www.eotechinc.com/products/eotech-ogl
Is the $2,999 price point reasonable for a civilian-legal laser/illuminator combo with this feature set?
