POTD: Sig Sauer’s P322 Rimfire Revolution

I was about to buy a .22LR rimfire pistol for recreational shooting and plinking, and came close to buying another brand. That’s until I discovered the Sig Sauer P322 you’re now looking at in this Photo Of The Day. It boasts a 20+1 round capacity, optic-ready slide, and suppressor-ready threaded barrel, making it ideal for plinking, training, or competitive shooting. I took one of my old Leupold DeltaPoints and the solution didn’t disappoint, although the original sights are quite good. To make it look cooler and perform with a lot less noise, I added an A-TEC Wave Carbon suppressor, the carbon fiber version.

Rimfire shooting with .22LR is a cost-effective way to hone skills, offering low recoil and affordable ammo, perfect for beginners and seasoned shooters alike. The P322 is great fun in Steel Challenge or casual range sessions, delivering accuracy and fun. Pair it with a suppressor for a quiet, enjoyable experience.

With the exception of some "reviews", I don't think I've ever heard anyone say the Sig 322 was reliable. I looked into this gun when it first came out but reviews and review comments were brutal talking about how bad the reliability was.

I have the P322 Comp model I've only ran about 500 rounds through it so far. I have used a variety of different brands of cheap ammo through it. I think I've only had 1 stove pipe and 3 miss fires. I don't think that's too bad for the cheap ammo I use. It will occasionally not lock the slide open after the last round, I mark that up to the cheap ammo
