[SHOT 2026] New Federal Rifle, Handgun and Shotgun Ammunition

Federal has announced an entirely new ammunition line called Federal Subsonic. This line will initially include four cartridges: Fusion .30-30 Winchester 170gr, Fusion .45-70 Government 300gr, Fusion Tipped .308 Winchester 190gr, and .300 Blackout 190gr.

Federal Premium Terminal Ascent ammunition line is expanded with two loads: 6.5mm PRC 140gr and 300 Remington Ultra Magnum 175gr.

Federal Premium Berger Elite Hunter line has one new load, the 7mm PRC 195gr.

The 6mm ARC cartridge that is rapidly becoming more and more popular is now available in three new Federal options: American Eagle TMJ 110gr, Fusion Tipped 110gr, Gold Medal Berger BT Target 108gr.

Lastly, in collaboration with Henry Repeating Arms, Federal released a commemorative Golden Boy Collector’s Edition .45-70 Government 300gr Jacketed Soft Point (JSP) ammunition shipped in collectible packaging.

The shotshell line of Federal Ammunition is being expanded with the addition of two new product lines: Rob Roberts Raptor and All-American.

The Rob Roberts Raptor waterfowl loads are designed to produce tight patterns when paired with Rob Roberts Raptor chokes. The loads in this new line include 12ga 2 3/4” ammo loaded with 1 3/8 oz of #2, #3, or #4 shot (1400fps), and a 20ga 3” option loaded with one ounce of the same shot sizes. Both loads have a muzzle velocity of 1400 fps.

The All-American line is competition loads that make use of Podium wads. This line includes 12 new loads for 12ga 2 3/4” hulls with #7.5, #8 or #9 shot and 1 oz to 1 1/8oz payload weights. There is also one 20ga 2 ¾” load in this line with #7.5 or #8 shot and 7/8 oz load weight.

Lastly, Federal will offer several Realtree 40th Anniversary Special turkey loads in commemorative packaging: two Grand Slam lead loads, 12 ga 3” and 20ga 3” loaded with #5 shot, and three HEAVYWEIGHT TSS loads - 12ga 3”, 20ga 3” and 410 bore 3” all loaded with #9.
