POTD: The Delta Optics Stryker HD 3.5-21x44 FFP Riflescope

Let’s have a look at the Delta Optical Stryker HD 3.5-21x44 FFP Riflescope. This is not a review, just a few images to admire a pretty sweet configuration and optic on a Ruger Precision Rifle. I really like the look of this riflescope, and it’s probably how they shaped the area around the 44 mm objective lens that attracts me.

The “thing” on the left side of the Ruger is the Kestrel HUD Heads Up Display, which is a must-have if you like gadgets like me. It’s pretty nice to use as well, and really enhances the Kestrel Ballistic Meters. And, as far as I know, it’s the most premium electronic DOPE card available. It does take a bit of programming, but learning how to use it isn’t difficult.

The suppressor is the A-Tec Marksman, quick-attached on their muzzle brake. It’s fairly large volume, and very efficient in reducing any unwanted noise. I even tried some .308 Win subsonics, and it was like shooting paintball in terms of sound. The suit is Concamo’s Ghosthood.

Choosing the right reticle is much more important than most people imagine, and here’s looking at the MRAD at 21 power, with the “target” at around 850 meters.

In no way related to the optic, but as I was taking some of these images, this curious family appeared. Nice to see some twins growing up.

I’ve seen the Stryker HD 3,5-21x44 being used by competitors in a few PRS and DMR matches, and it seems to be an economical and wise choice. Have you tried or considered one?

I like the magnification range, but it looks like a heavy scope for the magnification range.

If I'm getting something that heavy I'd probably get a 5-25x or 6-24 for hunting rifle.

Make it in a 40 or 36 mm objective and lighter and it would be perfect for ar10/AR-15 dmr

Reticle needs improvement. look at the direction that other optics brands (ones that are common in prs) are moving in. More wind call hash marks. The challenge in prs (at least when it comes to scopes) is making correct wind calls or better yet, good corrections. The center line of this scope only has .5 mil measurements, if I miss by .3 mil then the best correction I can measure using this reticle is either a guess or by .5 mil variables.
