POTD: The 11” M27 Reconnaissance Weapons Kit - US Recon Marines

In today’s POTD, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Hunter Serrano, a point man with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, sends rounds downrange with his M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle in the 11” RWK configuration, during a live-fire training session at Camp Pendleton, California. This is the first time I’ve ever seen the RWK with an EOTech sight and a magnifier.
Before a Marine ever sets foot on foreign soil, they spend countless hours honing their skills at home, refining marksmanship, movement, and coordination until it becomes instinct. That foundation is what turns live-fire drills into muscle memory when it counts.
The drill was part of an annual bilateral reconnaissance exchange with Indonesia’s Korps Marinir, aimed at boosting combined capabilities and improving operational interoperability between the two nations' recon units.
