POTD: Low-Visibility Engineering - The B&T KH9 Covert Pistol
The collapsed KH9 Covert Pistol reminds me of one of the AT-AT walkers in Star Wars. Firearms like this B&T are a dream. This is a limited-production 9×19mm pistol designed with a folding magazine well and a folding grip. Both components rotate 90 degrees, reducing the overall profile for storage in confined spaces.
When deployed, the unfolded magazine well guides the magazine toward the chamber area. The pistol can be loaded using the top-mounted bolt-hold-open release or the charging handle. The KH9 Covert uses a double-action trigger system and a three-position selector: safe, fire and a full-down decocking position.
The platform is supplied with a compact 30-round magazine and remains compatible with standard B&T APC9 polymer magazines. Additional features include a tri-lug muzzle interface, backup sights, upper dual accessory rails, an under-barrel rail, cleaning kit, sling, soft case and one magazine. The model is offered in black or, as shown in the featured image, in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote.

Fantastic PDW from B&T, looking forward to their sten configuration
Actually, the pistol comes with a special covert 25round magazine that will allow the magazine to slide in when folding so the mag will not protrude past the barrel when folded. It will take the 30rd mags too. I have one. The double action only works after you decock the hammer. If you pull the trigger you have to cycle the action to engage the trigger then decock to be able to use the double action feature. One warning is the sliding stock kit or arm brace kit are separate and quite expensive. You also have to buy only the Gear Head Tail hook for the brace Make sure you get the B&T brace adaptor, it is aluminum for a plastic one will not hold up.
