Nocpix has announced the Nite D70R, a new digital day and night riflescope designed for hunters seeking improved image clarity and long-range precision. The Nite D70R combines a 70mm objective lens and 5× base magnification with a 4K Ultra sensor (3536×3536, 12MP) that is said to offer about 50% higher pixel density than conventional 4K systems and provide sharper detail, improved color reproduction, and consistent performance across varied environments.

Nocpix Digital Riflescopes @ TFB:

For ranging and ballistic accuracy, the optic includes a 1,200-meter laser rangefinder with less than 1-meter error, optical axis alignment, and a ballistic calculator for holdover and drop compensation. A 0.3 MOA per click adjustment system is used for zeroing. The riflescope also features a 60Hz refresh rate and a proprietary image-processing algorithm intended to reduce blur when tracking moving targets.

Two IR illuminators (850nm and 940nm) are said to extend visibility up to 200 meters in complete darkness. These are optional and sold separately.

In terms of power, the D70R uses built-in and replaceable 18650 batteries with up to 7 hours of operation at 22°C. The weight without batteries is 1055 grams, approximately 2 pounds 5.2 ounces if my calculations are correct. The dimensions are 405x95x80mm.

The D70R retains a 30mm tube for compatibility with standard mounts and offers a stepless zoom range of 5× to 40×, a 0.72-inch HD round display, and generous eye relief. It is described as combining digital imaging technology with the handling characteristics of a traditional riflescope.

In terms of pricing, the D70R is available in Europe for around €1099, about $1,285. The Nite D70R is expected to be available through authorized Nocpix dealers and distributors later this season.
