POTD: CZ-LUVO’s Anti-Drone Rifle & Shotgun

This is TFB’s Photo Of The Day with some images of CZ-LUVO’s Anti-Drone Rifle & Shotgun. The threat posed by drones is rapidly evolving, with commercial and improvised UAVs becoming increasingly accessible and capable. Shotguns can be an effective close-range option for countering drones, especially small, low-flying UAVs.

The rifle is LUVO’s LA-110 A2 SASS with a 14.5”, chambered in .223 Rem. The shotgun is a Remington 870, in cal. 12/76 Magnum, to give those drones a real hard time.

The sight was made by Meopta, but unfortunately, there were no details about it. I would probably prefer a dedicated anti-drone shotgun, because it looks difficult to take precision shots with an under-barrel shotgun like this - it looks heavy and the barrel is much lower than the sight.

Drone be gone!

With a shotgun, the range is typically limited to ~30-50 meters for effectiveness.

Luvo also makes various suppressors.

Rifle bullets are a bad idea. What goes up comes down.

ten gauge is a better option.

I’d suggest 8 gauge but I don’t see any semi auto gas guns.

The over/under rifle & shotgun concept was clumsy in 'Nam, and age has not made it any better, only marginally lighter. There has to be a better way to do this, optics & computer-controlled rocket projectiles might be a possible improvement of the TOW concept for anti-tank weapons. But a drone is hard to stop in a "Hit & Run" scenario.
