Harbor Freight Starts Selling Weaponlights

Who had Harbor Freight weapon lights on their 2025 bingo card? In a surprise move, noted retailer of inexpensive tools Harbor Freight is selling a pistol light that looks quite a lot like a TLR-1 Streamlight. And the price point is well below the name brand!
Lights @ TFB:
- Light It Up With The New SIG Sauer FOXTROT MSR Weapon Light
- [SHOT 2025] Glock Debuts Aimpoint Combo Pistols, New Pistol Light
- [SHOT 2025] Mounting Solutions Plus Benelli Light Mount
- Streamlight TLR-7 X Sub: Small Size, Big Candlepower
- TFB Review: SureFire M640DFT-PRO Weapon Light - Part 2
The Braun “70460 1000 Lumen Tactical Rail Mount LED Light” runs on two CR123A batteries. As the name suggests, it produces 1000 lumens, but no candela figure is listed. It includes adapters for various rails and lists Glock, Beretta, and S&W models on its compatibility list. This light offers constant on, momentary, and strobe functions. Harbor Freight lists a 90-day warranty for this item.
Now for the real kicker: it retails for $49.99! That's right, a 1,000 lumen pistol light with all the fittings retails for less than a box of 300 Win Mag ammo. These lights are available for purchase at your local Harbor Freight, hopefully. None of the stores near me have them in stock, but hopefully that changes soon. I'll likely be picking one up, because I always could use more lights for review guns.
From the retailer:
“The BRAUN™ Tactical Rail Mount Light has a convenient mounting system for quick, secure attachment and detachment* on most full-size and compact railed firearms. The durable aluminum housing is drop proof up to 5 ft. to withstand the toughest conditions.
Powerful 1000 lumen LED projects a concentrated beam of light up to 850 ft.
High-strength aluminum housing withstands drops up to 5 ft.
High-temperature, shock-mounted, impact-resistant borofloat glass lens
Variable light modes: on and strobe
Low-profile, compact design
Easy to access, ambidextrous on/off”

90% of the tools that I have are higher end name brand such as Snap On. The other 10% I've bought from Harbor Freight.
In the 15 years I have been patronizing HF I've learned two things.
First, I found the vast majority of the people that make these uneducated comments you see such as here have never owned or used HF products, they just regurgitate what they think sounds cool and what they hear.
Second, that most of the products are what they are. Very good products for their intended use. If you are a professional, you may want to get something with a higher standard. If you need something to do the occasionally weekend job at home, in the garage, then HF is more than adequate.
I've owned at least two motorcycles all of my life and was tempted to get a HF MC lift. Most people I talked to gave me the canned response that HF was junk. They swore that the lift was junk. Funny thing though, not one person who gave the negative comments had owned the lift or really had any experience with it. I bought one and it was an outstanding product that lasted YEARS. In fact I think its still being used 15 years or so later.
Specifically, I've owned several Braun lights and none of them have given me any trouble.
Out of stock at every store because Streamlight has filed a lawsuit for patent infringement. Don’t expect these to be available anytime soon, perhaps forever.
