Olight has just announced some new lights set to be released just ahead of the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits (where they hold a booth annually). The company has made some great strides in overall popularity in the US Firearms market, with the Osight being one of the most successful releases from the company in recent memory, and the adoption of their weapon lights becoming a more common sight. For 2026, Olight is announcing an extension to two of their already popular handled flashlight lines, with a new stylish variant of the ArkPro Ultra ultra-slim flashlight/laser combo, as well as an upgraded and cooler-running variant of the highly popular Baton series in the form of the new Baton 4 Pro and Baton Ultra. Gunslinger Tactical, a company from Holly Springs, North Carolina, has introduced a new weapon-mounted illumination and aiming device called SeraphIM. Attaching to the handguard of a firearm via a 1913 rail, the SeraphIM integrates several LED and IR lights and lasers with a front grip. One of the primary advantages provided by this device is the minimal exposure of the shooter’s body when using a light or laser to aim around a corner. The built-in joystick allows smooth transitioning between the different lights and lasers.

Hoplopfheil interviews the Streamlight team at SHOT Show 2026 about the new ProTac Rail Mount VIR Pro, a rail-mounted long gun light delivering 1,100-lumen white LED (high: 40,000 candela, 400m beam) plus selectable IR output (2,300mW high/600mW low). A possibly wallet-saving option for those who are craving night-vision shooting on a budget, the ProTac Rail Mount VIR is going to retail for around $300 street price.

Streamlight had several new illumination tools on display at SHOT Show 2026. They have a new, affordable pistol light and visible/IR rifle light, among other things. We got the lowdown on these new items, so keep reading for all the details.

NEXTORCH North America has announced the release of the WL25, a rail-mounted tactical weapon light that combines a high-output white light with an integrated green laser. The unit is designed to support rapid target identification and aiming in low-light conditions. Output is rated at up to 1,200 lumens and 44,100 candela, with a beam distance of approximately 459 yards.

NEXTORCH North America has announced the WL15 Tactical Weapon Light, a rail-mounted illumination tool developed in Germany and built for law enforcement, military, and security applications. The light delivers a stated output of 1,200 lumens and 44,100 candela, producing a concentrated beam that the company claims reaches up to 459 yards (420 meters). Its purpose is to support quick identification of targets and surroundings in low-light or time-critical situations.

This is Firebird Electro-Optics’ first appearance here at TFB, and while their new flashlights are small in size, they manage to shine a lot of light. The company claims to have spent over two years of research and development, and is now releasing their LEP Mini series. They are built around advanced Laser Excited Phosphor (LEP) technology, said to deliver a focused, high-intensity beam exceeding 106,000+ candela. All variants maintain tight beam geometry with minimal spill, ensuring precise target illumination and superior photonic efficiency.

Let there be light! Sellmark has announced the release of the INFORCE ARC, a versatile lighting platform primarily designed for tactical applications. Engineered through extensive field testing and development, the ARC is available in handheld, rifle-mounted, and helmet-mounted configurations.

Who had Harbor Freight weapon lights on their 2025 bingo card? In a surprise move, noted retailer of inexpensive tools Harbor Freight is selling a pistol light that looks quite a lot like a TLR-1 Streamlight. And the price point is well below the name brand!

When it comes to my guns for self or home defense - all of them have lights. While most of us civilians might never find ourselves clearing multi-story buildings, or trying to ID a bad guy way off in the distance in the dark, defensive scenarios are a very different story. If someone breaks into your home or you hear odd noises on your property at night, it’s crucial to be able to properly identify what you’re hearing, especially in low-light conditions, before taking any direct action.

Modern rifle lights are great for more than up-close shooting. New high candela high lumen lights can now reach and illuminate targets at distances that rival the range of some of your rifles. This is also the case for the new Nightstick LGL-160-T Turbo High Candela Long Gun Light kit which claims to have a 632-yard "tight beam" illumination distance. This new light comes complete with a mounting kit that features both a regular tail cap and the ability to use the light with an included remote pressure switch.

Princeton Tec has announced the introduction of their NEW Charge X Helmet Light for those who are donning ballistic helmets and need to shed a little more light on a situation. The new Charge X Helmet Light is compatible with existing Princeton Tec Charge mounts and will additionally include both an M-LOK mount and hook ‘n loop mounting solutions.

Over the last few months, Streamlight has been quietly stepping up the output on a number of their weapon lights. The latest model to get this treatment is the TLR-7; the new TLR-7 HL-X is a dual-fuel version of Streamlight’s weapon light for compact handguns and has more lumens and candela than the previous version. Hop stopped by the Streamlight booth at NRAAM 2024 to check out their new crop of lights.

Streamlight has a new, brighter compact weapon light. The TLR-7 HL-X USB packs 1,000 lumens and 22,000 candela into a small package. It also can run on multiple power sources.

Luke C ( @BallisticAviation ) is checking in with Andrew from SureFire LLC to check out the release of the XR1 and XR2 rechargeable pistol lights. Teased throughout the last couple of years of the SHOT Show, the XR1 and XR2 have been some of the most highly anticipated pistol lights and today SureFire has confirmed their release in just a few months. The XR1 and XR2 lights are compact size lights that boast powerful output, and rechargeable batteries. In addition the the XR1 and XR2, Andrew also has a newly redesigned tape switch with hints at a new dual-lead switch on the way.

At SHOT Show 2024, Hogue, a manufacturer specializing in firearm accessories, hinted at an innovative addition to their product lineup—a mini-flashlight designed for pistols. This forthcoming flashlight aims to offer a more compact lighting solution for firearms without the added bulk typical of larger, traditional units.

At the SHOT Show 2024, the renowned flashlight maker Streamlight launched three innovative products –  the TLR-7X weapon light, SpeedLocker storage box and TLR-6 HL weapon light.

James Reeves is at SureFire to see the new Stiletto Pro II. The Stiletto Pro is already James’ most favorite EDC light, so what does the Pro II bring to the table? Glad you asked: It adds a Multi-Output Dual Beam, USB-C rechargeable (finally), 1,500 lumens with a 500 lumens and 25 lumens setting (50% more than Stiletto Pro), and 35,000 candela (5X more than Stiletto Pro).
