Blackbird Makes First Public Appearance with F762 and F556 Suppressors
Blackbird, a new manufacturer focused on weapon suppression systems, made its public debut at Suppressed Fest 2025, a live-fire event centered on suppressed weapons technology. The company was founded by Mikeith Green, who has roughly 15 years’ experience in the firearms and suppressor sector, and the business draws on that practical background during product development. The image above shows one of their 556 suppressors on a Noveske rifle with some Ground Systems Research furniture.
“Blackbird isn’t another name on the roster of suppressor startups,” said Mikeith Green, Founder. “It’s the product of many years spent refining what works, discarding what doesn’t, and building systems that perform today and a decade from now. We’re not chasing trends – we’re engineering permanence.”
According to the press release, their key technical attributes include:
- Low Back Pressure Design: Multi-staged gas redirection for improved cyclic rate stability and reduced shooter exposure.
- Hybrid Internal Geometry: Optimized flow path that minimized ejection port blast while preserving peak muzzle suppression.Â
- Pressure-Forward Propagation: Directs blast energy downrange, reducing lateral overpressure and improving performance in confined environments.
- Material Integrity: Aerospace-grade alloys and additive manufacturing processes ensure structural longevity and repeatable accuracy under sustained use.
On display at Suppressed Fest were Blackbird’s initial offerings, identified as the F762 and F556. The company describes both models as using a multi-stage venting geometry intended to regulate pressure and gas flow. According to Blackbird, the hybrid internal geometry is designed to reduce backpressure and blowback while preserving suppression performance and maintaining weapon reliability and balance.
Headquartered in Midland, Texas, Blackbird frames itself as an end-user-led manufacturer targeting professional, tactical, and civilian markets. The company emphasizes iterative design, materials engineering, and data-driven development as guiding principles. As much as we would love to give you more details, product information and pricing, there are no detailed technical specifications, pricing, or production timelines provided in the announcement.
The suppressor below is described as “3D printed .30 caliber in Titanium and 718 options. High forward pressure, low signature.”
