Walker's New Affordable SHOTSYNC Timer

Walker’s has a new shot timer that is a different take on the idea. The SHOTSYNC is a wearable shot timer incorporating both a microphone and an accelerometer to detect shots. That information passes over a Bluetooth link to your phone, where that information is logged and displayed.

Shot Timers @ TFB:

Unlike other shot timers, which tend to be a box worn on the belt, the SHOTSYNC is a wearable device. It straps around the shooter’s arm much like a wristwatch. That placement on the wrist allows the accelerometer to sense gunshots, coupled with the microphone for acoustic detection. The detection thresholds can also be adjusted for calibers down to .22 LR.

The SHOTSYNC Timer retails for $59.99, and ships for free when ordered directly from Walker’s.

From the manufacturer:

“Introducing the latest wearable technology: a versatile yet affordable training solution for both recreational and competitive shooters. Walker’s SHOTSYNC™, a wearable shot timer that uses both a microphone and accelerometer sensors to count shots and record split times with remarkable accuracy, features Bluetooth® 5.2 low-energy connectivity and compatibility with the new Walker’s Link app to customize par times, set start signals, adjust shot sensitivity, and track all training sessions.
A must-have for competition shooters, this user-friendly device delivers impressive performance despite its compact size—capturing training session data, whether 30 seconds or 3 minutes long, to build a history of each shooting practice. To use SHOTSYNC, shooters simply set a start delay to trigger an auditory timer, which activates the device. The wearable then captures the time between the draw and the first shot, as well as every shot fired afterward for the duration of the session. When the training data is saved, the wearable generates shot histories over time, counting shots by syncing motion and sound and tracking the amount of ammunition used during each session.”
