An Offset ACOG? Meet the Staker Precision SAM

If you’ve ever wanted a bit of extra magnification to go with your red dot but don’t have anything else but an ACOG lying around, the SAM ( Side ACOG Mount) from Staker Precision just might be the ticket for you. The SAM allows you to mount ACOG and compact ACOG-style optics on a 36-degree cant to work in conjunction with a small Aimpoint T2-sized red dot and a riser. This should help users who use the SAM transition from 1x to magnified viewing, as well as optimize the rifle for night vision use, even with a magnified optic still mounted to the gun.

An Offset ACOG? Meet the Staker Precision SAM

The SAM allows side-mounting of a Trijicon ACOG or compact ACOG at a 36 degree angle to be used in conjunction with Aimpoint T2 (or similar red dot) + riser mounted on top rail. Primary arms Prism scopes and Micro Prisms are also possible to be mounted on the SAM. This allows for the quickest, seamless transition from 1x to magnified without having to flip up a magnifier or move your head up/down. The side mounted ACOG is optimal for night vision as it minimizes the clashing of nods on your weapon mounted optics vs an ACOG + vertically mounted red dot or T2 + flip-to-center magnifier.

Notes:

  • We are still finding new optics combinations that work so feel free to email us at info@stakerprecision.com with specific optic compatibility questions and we can try them out
  • Recommended T2 risers: Unity fast micro 2.26 mount [newer models without reinforced qd hump], Kastle Group MICRO-226™ Optic Mount or similar
  • May work with T2 similar optics excluding low mounted AAA Batteries for RH configuration

The mount is compatible with Eotech Holos and Comp M5 when used with KRAM 9.0. However, it may not work in some configurations with the LED version of ACOG due to the width of the battery compartment. Additionally, the logo on the mount has slightly changed from the one shown in the pictures here. The SAM mount is currently available directly from the Staker Precision website for a price of $142.69, where you can also reach out to the creators directly for any questions you might have about the application or compatibility.

Reminds me of some of the Israeli IDF M1A mounts that give an off center mount for anything that would attach to an AR15 carry handle like an ACOG.

Why? Why bother to patent this? April was last month, dudes.

A fool and their money are soon parted.
