About Lit Low Ready
We have developed and are beginning to sell a pivoting weapon light mount, that allows the user to rotate the light orientation upward relative to the rifle bore axis. So the user can illuminate an individual, for example, without aiming the rifle directly at them.
I started up Lit Low Ready after reading of an Officer Involved Shooting incident, where the officer was using their WML to illuminate somebody and had a negligent discharge, killing them.
I thought there had to be a solution, couldn't find anything, and decided to come up with a solution.
We've recently received our patent.
What makes Lit Low Ready unique?
While I do think purchased product is unique, I think the business is similar to many other small businesses which were started up to address a very specific problem.
This tilting weaponlight mount/grip (LLR Response V1) is designed for M-LOK rails and is compatible with SureFire Scout Lights. Here is the description of its function from the manufacturer’s website:
The LLR Response, V1 is an integrated weapon light mount and forward grip, which pivots on a mounting lug. This model is rotation limited and spring returned, allowing the rifle bore to be pointed in a lowered or 'Low Ready' orientation while the light is oriented horizontally. Raising the rifle and indexing into the shoulder naturally rotates the light mount into alignment with the bore.
Orientations Available:
1. Shooter's Left: The light mount arm is on the shooter's left side of the rifle. This orientation is best for right handed shooters using weapon lights with tailcap switches. The shooter's support hand thumb actuates the switch. Left handed shooters may choose this orientation if using a remote switch attached to the grip.
2. Shooter's Right: Shooter's Left, but in reverse. Left handed shooters using tailcaps, or right handed shooters using remote switches.
The first batch is in production and will cost $150 for the black version and $160 for Cerakote ODG or FDE models. The estimated start of shipping is mid-February 2026.

This is pretty neat, actually! It simply and easily sidesteps my primary problem with WMLs, that to identify whether something/someone out there in the dark is a Valid Target or a Future Plaintiff, you have to ignore Rule 3 and put it in the line of fire even if you don't have the muzzle directly on it. With this kind of setup you can keep the muzzle on the ground (where you're MUCH less likely to ND a neighbor if you trip or stumble or startle), but if the light illuminates a real threat, it's a completely instinctive motion to snap it back inline in the same motion as bringing the muzzle up to the target.
Novel idea that can be improved upon. I think I'll try to improve upon it. Free market, baby!
