About LayerX Suppression
LayerX Suppression is a dynamic suppressor company founded on platform-optimized silencers with a focus on efficiency and shooter experience. Our team consists of professionals from the legacy suppressor industry, firearms/defense suppliers, as well as aerospace material experts, and precision automation professionals whose shared passion to improve the shooting experience allows for a comprehensively approached solution.
The company was founded in 2025 with what they describe as a challenge: creating the best sounding, platform-optimized suppressors utilizing next-generation manufacturing. Their debut product, the Strake 9, is purpose-built for Pistol Caliber Carbines and MP5 roller-delayed systems.
What makes LayerX Suppression unique?
We're bringing together expertise from multiple industries—not just firearms, but aerospace materials and precision automation—to approach suppressor design comprehensively. Every surface has been designed, tested, and manufactured for performance, reliability, and durability. We're real experts, not just enthusiasts.
The Strake 9 showcases LayerX's approach: it's crafted from DFARS Grade 5 Titanium using Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) and features their proprietary Strand DNA internal system designed to minimize back pressure and first-round pop. At just 8.5 ounces, it's optimized for use on MP5s, AR9s, and other 9mm platforms, and it's also rated for subsonic .300 Blackout. The suppressor uses an Alphatek low infrared signature coating and HUB/Bravo 1.375-24 universal mounting threads for broad compatibility.
Their tagline, "Crafted to the Micron. Calibrated for Silence," sums up the company's philosophy of precision manufacturing in service of shooter experience.
