At Enforce Tac 2026 in Nuremberg next week, Silent Steel is debuting its new patent-pending Boltlok Quick-Attach mounting system, designed to deliver a secure, repeatable suppressor lock-up without added bulk. Boltlok addresses a common suppressor issue: mounting reliability under sustained fire.

The system allows users to set locking tension during initial installation, ensuring a tight fit with no unwanted movement. A six-position adjustment mechanism lets shooters fine-tune lock-up on first setup. Once configured, attachment is straightforward. Just mount the suppressor and slide the locking latch rearward for a positive, repeatable engagement.

According to Silent Steel, this adjustable tightening system features:

  • Six positive locking positions
  • Eliminates all clearance and play in the mount
  • Ensures the suppressor cannot shift or rotate
  • Provides a consistently tight, repeatable lock-up
  • Enables quick and effortless attachment after initial setup

According to Silent Steel, the tight interface improves sealing between the suppressor and muzzle device by keeping tapered surfaces fully seated and limiting fouling intrusion. The mechanism is engineered to remain functional even when the suppressor is run hot, avoiding loosening or binding. These are said to be the benefits:

  • The taper surfaces stay tightly sealed
  • Locking parts remain cleaner from gas and carbon buildup
  • Long-term reliability is significantly improved

Despite being a quick-attach system, Boltlok is designed to remain lightweight, adding minimal weight compared to direct-thread setups while maintaining balance and handling. I had a quick sneak peek at it at the SHOT Show, and it worked great. How it works in practice remains to be seen, but I see a lot of potential, especially for those who run Borelock on their rifles already.

The system is fully compatible with existing Borelock muzzle devices, allowing current users to upgrade without replacing their mounts. Silent Steel also plans to roll out a full line of Boltlok-compatible flash hiders and muzzle brakes in multiple thread patterns and calibers.

The Boltlok system will be officially unveiled at Enforce Tac 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, and TFB will be there to take a deeper look.
