SilencerCo is back at their pistol work again, this time with something that will hopefully scratch the itch for those who want a Maxim 9 but just can’t find a way to get their hands on one. While this slide won’t convert your Glock into a Maxim 9, the design of the new SCO Slide is heavily inspired by SilencerCo’s integrally suppressed 9mm pistol. The new slide is also going to come pre-cut, ready to direct-mount one optic of your choice from a list of some of the most popular pistol red dots currently available.

SilencerCo’s New SCO Slide For Gen 1-3 Glocks

Introducing the SCO Slide for Glock® 19 Gen 1-3 pistols. This is the perfect enhancement for your G19, and it comes in an RMR, ACRO and 509T optic cut for various sight compatibilities. The SCO Slide is machined from a corrosion-resistant 17-4 stainless steel for ultimate durability. It’s finished in a tough, black, diamond-like coating to boost the slide’s resistance to surface wear and corrosion. It features side serrations inspired by the design of the Maxim 9 for easy slide manipulation. This makes clearing a jam or checking the chamber a breeze. The SCO Slide also has distinctive side-cutout windows.
*NOTE: Cover plate and screws not included with most variants. Sold separately. RMR variant will include two screws.
This slide uses patented optic cut technology developed by ZEV Technologies (U.S. Patent No. RE47335).

This slide equips Glock 19 owners with a straightforward upgrade path, supporting top-tier red dots without adapter plates for improved co-witness and height over bore considerations. Its corrosion-resistant DLC coating should make it last a lifetime, while the Maxim 9-style serrations enhance grip for reliable operation under pressure and also add a bit of that Maxim-9 flavor to the look. The slide’s side windows provide a modern aesthetic, setting it apart from standard Glock slides and even other aftermarket slides. Installation is user-friendly, with SilencerCo’s website offering guides and compatibility details.

I can't decide which EDC pic is the best, the 1st or the 3rd. Either way, I need to seriously up my retro EDC game.

I despise the dirt catching slide windows that are being put on slides by certain makers. I see these and recently I have seen them on Bear Creek Arsenal pistols, why?

I can't agree more. This fashion trend of holes in sides negates there use as a serious defensive tool.
