After an extended period of backorders due to worldwide demand, Beretta USA is thrilled to share that the iconic Manurhin .357 Magnum revolvers are now back in stock and ready for distribution to dealers across the country. Crafted in France by Chapuis Armes, a global leader in precision firearms, the MR73 is renowned as one of the most accurate, robust, and exquisitely crafted revolvers ever produced.

If long barrels are your thing, we recommend a look at the Manurhin MR73 Sport 8".

Designed initially for elite French units like GIGN and RAID, the MR73 delivers exceptional performance for both professional and competitive applications.

The Manurhin MR73 Sport 3" (seen below) starts from $4,179.

Each revolver is constructed with forged, ordnance-certified steel, featuring cold hammer-forged barrels and precision-machined components using advanced 5-axis CNC technology. Master gunsmiths hand-fit and hand-polish every MR73 to meet rigorous standards. Its renowned double-action trigger system, with fully adjustable trigger weight, is celebrated as the smoothest in its class. Every MR73 undergoes individual proof-testing at pressures 30% above CIP standards and accuracy testing at 15 to 25 meters, with MATCH models including a test target guaranteeing groups no larger than 0.8" with specific ammunition.

Now available in the U.S. through Beretta, the following MR73 models are back in stock:

  • MR73 Gendarmerie 3"
  • MR73 Sport 3"
  • MR73 Sport 4"
  • MR73 Sport 5.75" Heavy Barrel
  • MR73 Sport 6"
  • MR73 Sport 8"

“The Manurhin MR73 is not just a revolver, it’s a mechanical masterpiece as both an heirloom grade piece and a true range workhorse,” said Ben Grundwerg, Product Manager of Special Projects and ProShop at Beretta USA. “With our new inventory ready to ship, we’re thrilled to once again offer American shooters access to this iconic firearm.”

The Manurhin MR73 50th Anniversary (shown below) starts from $10,999.

Given the demand and artisanal craftsmanship, Beretta recommends that you reach out to your local Beretta dealer for more information about the MR73.

If your grandfather attempts to purchase one of these, that is a definite symptom of dementia.
