[SHOT 2026] The New Staccato HD C4X Compensated Pistol
Staccato, one of the pioneers of double-stack 1911s and the actual owner of the 2011 trademark, has added a new compensated option to their HD line of pistols - the 9mm Staccato HD C4X. The new pistol was designed in collaboration with and to meet the requirements of an elite tactical surveillance unit and is advertised as the ultimate carry pistol, combining HD reliability, 2011 shootability, and refined performance.
Here are the main features of the Staccato HD C4X pistol as specified by the company:
- C4X Integrated Compensator. Inspired by the unmatched performance of the Staccato XC, the C4X's one-piece barrel with integrated compensator delivers flatter shooting without sacrificing concealability.
- C4X Light Aluminum Frame. Built with a precision-engineered aluminum-alloy frame, the Staccato HD C4X reduces weight for easier concealment while maintaining the durability and stability you expect from HD.
- C4X Compact Grip. The Staccato HD Compact Grip is optimized for ease of carry and maximum control, pairing a comfortable side texture with aggressive front and back straps for confident handling. It ships with two 15-round Mec-Gar magazines and is compatible with most Glock 19-size magazines.
- Enhanced Durability. The HD line is rigorously tested for mechanical endurance, reliability, and resistance to harsh environmental conditions, going far beyond industry standards to meet the stringent requirements of America’s elite armed professionals.
- Fully Ambidextrous. Dual-sided safety and slide stop levers, mirrored thumb index points, and reversible magazine catch mean you can run your pistol in either hand with fully mirrored controls and ergonomics.
- HOST Mounting System. New and improved HOST optic mounting system allows the industry's most popular optics to be attached directly to the slide with the use of our spacer plates. This feature lets the HOST use larger, longer optic screws for a more secure attachment to the gun.
- Improved Ergonomics. Narrower grip with no grip safety, higher beavertail, more aggressive "wrap-over" slide serrations, and support-thumb index points create a more comfortable, consistent shooting experience even under adverse conditions.
- Plus Capacity Steel Magazine. Offered with two 18 round heat treated carbon steel Mec-Gar Glock® pattern magazines featuring an anti-friction black coating. Compatible with Glock® 17 style magazines.
- Mechanical Firing Pin Block. All HD pistols are equipped with an active firing pin block for increased safety in demanding scenarios.
The Staccato HD C4X pistol also features a 4-4.5-lb trigger pull weight and a 3.6” captive flat wire recoil spring. The barrel length is four inches. The dimensions of the pistol are 7.6” x 1.6” x 7.84” with the width at the grip being 1.2”. The overall weight of the pistol without a magazine is 24.5 oz.
The Staccato HD C4X pistol is available in one of the following three configurations:
- Standard Package. Comes with standard serrations, Ameriglo blacked out front sight and two 15-round magazines. MSRP: $3,499.
- Preferred Package. Contains everything from the Standard Package plus Trijicon Tritium Night Sights, HD compact magwell and an additional 15-round magazine (total of three mags). MSRP: $3,699.
- Premium Package. Contains everything from the Preferred Packages plus X-Serrations, and an additional 15 Round Magazine (total of four mags). MSRP: $3,899.
When ordering the pistol, you can also add a reflex sight and a weapon light with a wide choice of the most popular models on the market. The C4X pistols ship in a custom Staccato soft gun bag by Savior Equipment. The Staccato HD C4X pistol will be available for purchase from 2/16/2026.
