[SHOT 2026] TANDEMKROSS TKX22 Light Rifle - Their First Complete Rifle

TANDEMKROSS used SHOT Show 2026 to announce their first complete firearm from start to finish. The TKX22 Light Rifle is a 10/22-compatible rifle built around the company's TKX22 receiver with everything but the stock manufactured in-house or OEM'd to their specs. At 3 pounds 6 ounces unloaded, it's one of the lightest rimfire rifles on the market and comes out of the box ready to shoot with fiber optic sights, a threaded barrel, and two magazines.

The rifle uses a Faxon-manufactured receiver similar to their F22 style with an integral Picatinny rail and a cleaning port machined into the rear so you can run a bore brush without pulling the barrel. The Spitfire barrel is where most of the weight savings happens. It's a 16.5-inch tensioned stainless steel barrel with an aluminum shroud that drops the total barrel weight to just under a pound. The shroud has MLOK cuts for mounting accessories directly to the barrel, and the whole thing is threaded 1/2x28 for suppressors or brakes.

TANDEMKROSS went with the MagPul X22 stock to keep weight down and paired it with their Manticore LITE trigger assembly. The trigger pull is adjustable from 2.5 to 5.5 pounds, and the assembly includes a textured magazine release and the Guardian Bolt Release for slingshotting the bolt. The rifle ships with TANDEMKROSS's Crossfire bolt and Spartan charging handle, plus their Eagle Eye fiber optic sight set with windage and elevation adjustments.

Everything on the rifle is compatible with factory Ruger 10/22 parts and accessories, which means you can swap components or upgrade as needed. TANDEMKROSS mentioned they're looking at integrating this with their ADX receiver series down the road, and when asked about a takedown version, the answer was "stay tuned." The ADX receiver itself is shipping late Q1 or early Q2 2026 at an MSRP of $300-$375 and will include a left-hand charging handle.

The TKX22 Light Rifle is a clean entry into the complete firearm space for TANDEMKROSS. The weight is legitimately impressive for a rifle that comes fully kitted with sights and a threaded barrel, and the MLOK barrel shroud is a practical touch for mounting lights or lasers without needing a handguard. At $1,449.99, it's priced above entry-level 10/22s but you're getting a lot of aftermarket components built in from the start.
