Limited 92SB Repro Revives Classic Beretta Design
The 92SB Repro is a limited-edition reproduction from Beretta marking the 50th anniversary of the company’s 90 Series. The model replicates the third production variant in the lineage and is offered with a starting price of $1,526. Production is limited to 1,526 numbered units, and each example is finished and packaged to reflect the pistol’s historical significance.
Special Beretta 92s @ TFB:
Stylistically, the 92SB Repro is described as faithful to the early 1980s 92SB, probably before a lot of TFB’s readers were even born, combining period-correct external details with modern manufacturing standards. The pistol pairs a polished anodized frame with a polished blued slide and barrel. External features noted in the product information include a rounded trigger guard and a flat dust cover. The slide bears an anniversary engraving reading “Celebrating 50 Years of the 90 Series,” and each pistol carries a unique serial number.
Internally, the reproduction incorporates updated components intended to improve function while retaining the original layout. The pistol is said to use a short-reset trigger bar and a D-type hammer spring, both intended to refine trigger feel and reset compared with earlier 90 Series designs. The manufacturer also lists all-metal construction for numerous controls and interfaces, including the recoil rod, trigger, safety levers, magazine release, and lanyard loop, which are described as contributing to mechanical durability and a traditional balance.
Fit and finish details include precision-machined G10 grips supplied on each pistol. Packaging for the 92SB Repro is a dedicated collector’s presentation that includes a history booklet documenting the 90 Series’ development and context. The package contains two 15-round magazines fitted with flat baseplates; the magazines are intended to preserve the pistol’s classic silhouette while providing standard-capacity feeding.
Beretta positions the 92SB Repro as a commemorative piece that bridges collector interest and practical use: it is presented with period styling and contemporary component choices rather than as an unmodified museum replica. The short-reset trigger bar and upgraded internal springs are said to provide a more responsive shooting experience, while the all-metal control surfaces and G10 grips are noted as durable, serviceable elements intended for ongoing use.
The 92SB Repro is being released in a single limited production run and is marketed toward collectors and enthusiasts who value historical continuity in firearms design. Beretta’s published information lists availability and the unit count; prospective buyers should consult authorized dealers for exact pricing, availability, and local legal compliance regarding ownership and shipping.
Did you ever have a challenge coin presented to you? If you do this on a regular basis, there’s one more in your collection if you buy the 92SB.

How many of you discovered the hidden clue in the pricing and the limited numbers to be produced? Beretta was founded in 1526, so I think next year we’re going to see a spectacular Birthday party.
