Vortex Optics has a new family of scopes exclusively for Sportsman’s Warehouse. The Denali series includes three rifle scopes and a laser rangefinder. Let’s take a look at what these optics have to offer.

Vortex @ TFB:

Denali HD 5-25x50

First up we have the highest magnification member of the family. The 5-25x50mm has a 30mm main tube. Vortex offers two reticle options, MRAD and MOA versions of the VMR-4. Both are illuminated and have the Christmas tree format that is so prevalent now. The elevation turret is exposed, but features a locking design, while the windage turret is capped. Both the illumination control and parallax adjustment are on the side opposite the windage turret, and the parallax adjust down to 15 yards. This scope comes in both first and second focal plane models. The MSRP of the FFP version is $1399, and the SFP is a hundred dollars cheaper at $1299. The SFP model is only available with the MOA reticle.

Denali HD 3-15x44

The smaller 3-15x44 Denali HD shares many features with the larger brother. It is available in two models. One has the VMR-3 MOA reticle and the capped windage/exposed elevation turret format seen on the higher magnification model. The other has a BDC reticle with both turrets capped. The BDC model has an MSRP of $999, and the target turret model’s MSRP is $1049.

Denali 1000 Rangefinder

The Denali 1000 laser rangefinder has a 1000-yard range on reflective targets, 800 yards on trees, or 500 yards on animals. It includes Horizontal Component Distance mode to calculate the appropriate angle-corrected distance when shooting uphill or downhill. The MSRP is $269.

Like all Vortex products, these include their unconditional warranty. As of writing, all of the Denali optics are in stock at Sportsman’s Warehouse with street prices well below the MSRPs. Head over to Sportsman’s to check them out.

So, it's basically a Viper HD made in China, instead of the Philippines. Why does Vortex dilute their product line so much?
