Barrett Firearms was at SHOT Show with some new updates to some products. These build on the success of the MRAD family and add new options. Keep reading for all the details.

Barrett @ TFB:

The first new product is 7mm Precision Rifle Cartridge barrels for the MRAD. It is a 26-inch barrel kit with all the parts necessary to swap calibers. Those parts include the barrel, bolt head, magazine, muzzle brake, and storage bag. Conversion barrels for other calibers have an MSRP of $1,675, and that will likely be the price for this barrel as well.

Another new product is a 30-inch barrel for the MRADELR. The MRADELR is built for extreme long range (ELR, hence the name) shooting and includes a 36-inch barrel. That is ideal for getting all the velocity possible out of the .416 Barrett, but it is also rather large and heavy. The new option is six inches shorter and comes fitted with the QDL muzzle device instead of the tank brake on the 36-inch barrel. That also means it is compatible with Barrett’s QDL suppressor. Keep an eye out for both of these barrels to hit shelves soon.

From the manufacturer:

The MRADELR is a high quality, military tested, off-the-shelf, extreme long-range system with user changeable barrels and calibers. Designed to deliver precision typically achieved only by custom-built rifles, this rifle expands the bolt-action, magazine-fed MRAD family to include 416 Barrett with additional large-caliber options to be available in the future. Boasting innovative technology, precision engineering, and exceptional materials, the MRADELR is yet another example of Barrett Firearms’ dedication to excellence.

Recently crowned the “Ballistic Best Editor’s Select” for the Best ELR Rifle, the MRADELR has demonstrated excellent precision and accuracy with its remarkable performance at the global King of 2 Miles competition earning a remarkable 2nd place finish as a production rifle competing primarily against custom builds. This rifle is poised to redefine the standards of long-range shooting, combining cutting-edge technology with precision engineering. With Barrett’s proven track record and recognition among the industry’s elite, the new MRADELR stands as a symbol of innovation and excellence, offering shooters an unrivaled experience in the world of extreme long-range marksmanship.

I know it's marketed more towards the hunting crowd but a 7mm Backcountry chambering sometime in the future would be sweet.
