Pistollo 77° Hits The US Market: Futuristic PCC Clearing The ATF

The weirdest PCC ever is finally coming to America! In a move that's sure to excite American enthusiasts of unconventional firearms, the bizarrely beautiful Pistollo 77° pistol-caliber carbine (PCC) that looks like it was dreamed up by an AI on a sci-fi binge is one step closer to U.S. shores. As detailed in TFB’s earlier deep dive back in June, this Czech-engineered oddity combines 9mm punch with a head-scratching 77° angled design that's equal parts futuristic art piece and practical shooter.

Now, fresh news from the manufacturer confirms that a U.S.-spec prototype has landed stateside and is undergoing ATF’s review for import compliance. If all goes smoothly, the first units could be in American hands within months. Will we be able to see it at the SHOT Show 2026?

Pistollo states that their unique PCC has thousands of eager U.S. buyers already on a waitlist. The company is also in final talks with a "renowned distributor" based in the Lone Star State (Texas), to handle domestic distribution.

"We believe that within a few months we will be ready to sell the first units to American customers," the announcement reads on the company’s Facebook page, signaling an end to the export delays that kept this strange gem exclusive to Czech shooters since its debut.

For those unfamiliar, the Pistollo 77° isn't your grandpa's carbine. Chambered in 9mm Luger and compatible with Glock 17 magazines, it measures a compact 720mm long, 150mm tall, and just 35mm wide.

Its standout feature? Apart from the looks, a recoil-dampening system that is said to make follow-up shots feel like butter, paired with a 10.1-inch barrel wrapped in a 3D-printed SLS nylon cover that doubles as a safety indicator (slide it off to go hot).

At the IWA exhibition, it was shown with an integrated solar-powered red dot sight, housed in a titanium body, offering a green reticle in 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, or both, with auto-adjusting brightness. Cerakote finishes in silver, grey, black, blue, or red give it that Space Force vibe, and it even stands upright on its magazine like a cheeky desk toy.

Priced north of €3,000 overseas, expect the U.S. MSRP to reflect import premiums and logistics.

But the real story here is adaptation. To navigate the ATF's labyrinth of import rules, think 922(r) compliance and brace-friendly tweaks, the American Pistollo 77° gets three modifications that enhance versatility without diluting its eccentric soul:

  • Rear Picatinny Rail: Mount a pistol stabilizing brace for those who prefer a braced PCC setup over traditional stocking. (The original adjustable stock remains, but this opens doors for SB Tactical fans.)
  • Top Picatinny Rail: Replacing the factory sight cover, this lets you slap on any red-dot optic or holographic sight. Ditch the integrated collimator if you want; Holosun or Aimpoint, your call.
  • 1/2x28 Muzzle Threading: Direct-thread suppressor compatibility, no adapters needed—though one can be added for versatility. Perfect for quiet range days or tactical whispers.

These changes build on the core design we dissected earlier: the hidden charging handle, straight trigger with firing pin block, and that signature 77° tilt. Production kicked off with the first 100 units hitting Czech ranges in Brno by late April 2025, but foreign exports were always the endgame.

Pistollo promises more distribution details soon. What do you think about it? Are you going to get one? Use the comments section to share your view.
