Reptilia has launched its new Reptilia Handguard, designed for AR-platform rifles. CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodizing, the handguard is built for durability and performance. It features a proprietary barrel nut and turnbuckle system for secure attachment and consistent alignment, avoiding flex or shift during use. The design uses full-length M-LOK slots and anti-rotation tabs to support accessories like lasers, thermals, and optics, with a low-profile structure that maintains strength without added bulk.

Reptilia Corp. @ TFB:

Available in four lengths: 9.4", 10.5", 13", and 15", and in Black or Flat Dark Earth finishes, the handguard accommodates the most common rifle configurations. It includes a 304 stainless steel Barrel Nut & Turnbuckle Wrench, laser-engraved with torque specifications, for precise installation. The handguard is compatible with all M4 upper receivers and comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

The barrel nut requires 50 ft-lbs of torque, while the turnbuckle nut is hand-tightened with a red thread locker. Installation uses a 1-1/4" drive for the barrel nut, a 1/4" drive for the turnbuckle, and a 3/8" socket drive for the torque wrench. All components are made in the USA.

If weight is a concern, here’s some data to keep you covered: 9.4" (8.15 oz, 231g), 10.5" (9.0 oz, 255g), 13" (10.9 oz, 309g), and 15" (12.63 oz, 358g).

The price range is from $299.95 to $319.95, and the handguards are “coming soon”.

When is the last time someone released a handguard that was actually innovative or new?
