Welcome back to TFB’s Photo Of The Day! Each day, we showcase unique military and firearm-related images from around the world. Today's spotlight comes from the Balikatan 25 training exercise in the Philippines.

Pictured above, U.S. Army soldiers from the 25th Infantry Division, alongside their Armed Forces of the Philippines counterparts, are seen conducting combined arms live-fire drills with the Next Generation Squad Weapon XM250 Light Machine Gun. These exercises are designed to strengthen tactical coordination and readiness between allied forces in the Indo-Pacific.

The workhorse M240 was also involved.

The Balikatan series exemplifies the joint cooperation between the U.S. and Philippine militaries, with both nations exchanging tactics, weapons handling, and fire support coordination. Live-fire scenarios like this one often include infantry maneuver elements, light armor, close air support, and indirect fire assets to simulate land dominance in a contested battlespace.

Whether you're watching the brass flying or the teamwork in action, it's a reminder of how training keeps skills sharp and alliances strong.

Stay tuned for more images from Balikatan and similar multinational drills around the globe.
