The latest iteration of FN’ s Reflex pistol was on display at SHOT Show 2025. This larger version features several design tweaks befitting the larger size. We also got to see some side-by-side comparisons with the original Reflex.

SHOT 2025 @ TFB:

The Reflex XL takes the smaller Reflex, which is optimized for concealed carry, and scales it up. At first glance, the longer barrel and frame are the most obvious changes. The barrel moves from 3.3 inches up to 3.8 inches, and the capacity of a flush-fit magazine goes from 11 up to 15 rounds. FN also includes an extended 18-round magazine with the Reflex XL. That extended 18-rounder also fits in the standard Reflex, so if you have one of those at home you also benefit from this new release.

Some less obvious changes are the reshaping of the frame. The trigger guard has a more pronounced undercut, and the sides of the trigger guard are thinned out near the grip. Another change is the extended beavertail to protect the shooter's hand. The standard Reflex has a very minimal beavertail as would be expected on a micro carry 9. But with the larger size of the XL, it makes sense to add a little more hand protection around the slide

MSRP for the XL MRD is $719, and is is cut to accept RMSc-pattern red dots. It comes in both black and FDE finishes. And those of you in ban states can get either color with limited 10-round magazines from the factory. All versions include metal sights with a blacked-out rear and contrast front with a tritium insert.

Here are a few side-by-side photos comparing the standard Reflex (shown in FDE) with the Reflex XL (in black).

In addition to the Reflex XL, FN has two new limited-edition colors for the 510. The 10mm pistols will be available in bronze or gray. The other features remain the same as standard 510 pistols; this is a cosmetic update only.
