POTD: The Aimpoint Centipede Crawls into Action

Behold the Aimpoint Centipede, something you have never seen before in TFB’s Photo Of The Day. We’ve strapped not one, not two, but three Aimpoint red dots onto the Picatinny rail of our trusty B&T APC9 Pro (#007). The B&T is the short-barreled edition, because who needs range when you’ve got redundancy?

People talk a lot about having backup sights, and this gun is totally ready. If all of the Aimpoints were to fail - which we know is never going to happen - there are still the built-in back-up iron sights of the B&T. You can see them deployed in the main image. There is no co-witness, however, as these red dots are mounted too high for that.

We have the Aimpoint T-2, Aimpoint Duty RDS MR and the Aimpoint CompM5b. When they are all lit together, and not completely zeroed together, you get the strange multi-multi-multi-reticle shown top right in the featured image. It’s more like its own Aimpoint Zodiac sign.

Do you have backups for your backups?

Which one of the Aimpoints do you like the best?

I have actually done this. You can set 3 different zeros for various ranges or ammo types. Mix a green dot in there and you have a zero compromise between green and red.

Set one for normal, one for suppressed w/subs.

    Sight #1: I'm high

Sight #2: I'm to the left

    Sight #3: You're both right
