The Special Products Division of Henry Repeating Arms, in collaboration with Field Ethos, has released a new lever gun called the SPD CRUSR Rifle. The CRUSR is an acronym that stands for Compact, Rugged, Ultralight, and Suppressor-Ready. The rifle is advertised as a firearm designed for expeditionary hunting to deliver a best-in-class feature set for professional guides, backcountry outfitters, and adventurous hunters who push their expeditions deep into the world’s most remote locales.

An evolution from Henry’s Special Products Division, our advanced R&D group focused on setting new standards for specific use cases, and designed in collaboration with Field Ethos’ gear development team, the CRUSR Rifle is a trim powerhouse born for those who prefer the trails less traveled.
Field Ethos helped shape the CRUSR Rifle from the ground up, bringing years of experience to the design table. Every ounce, material, and finish was considered for real-world practicality. Paired with Henry’s SPD team, this collaboration produced a platform purpose-built for exploration, redefining what makes the ultimate guide’s gun. The partnership is indicated by a ghosted “FE” logo beneath the ejection port.

The new Henry SPD CRUSR rifle is chambered in .45-70 Government and has a magazine capacity of four rounds (plus one in the chamber). The 16.5” match-grade barrel is made of 416R stainless steel that is tension wrapped in carbon fiber and features 5/8x24 muzzle threads.

The receiver is drilled and tapped for Weaver 63B mounts, but the gun comes with a Picatinny rail section installed on the receiver. The rifle also features an adjustable ghost ring rear sight and a brass bead front sight. The bolt body, trigger, hammer, and side loading gate have a DLC finish. The TAPCO M-LOK aluminum forearm and the synthetic buttstock are Cerakoted with the Midnight Bronze color. The rest of the parts are also Cerakoted, but with the Midnight Blue color Cerakote. The overall length of the rifle is 35.25” and it weighs 6.7 lbs.

The MSRP of the Henry SPD CRUSR rifle is $2,499. Like other Henry rifles, it’s made in the USA and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Cool rifle, but Field Ethos is unbearably pretentious.

U$2500.00 is a bit rich don’t you think?

But it’s Midnight Blue Cerakote man. Also, in the most tactical round in 1870. I love my lever guns, never went out of style for me. I do predict the cool kids are just about to get lever fatigue.
