GRITR Releases One-Pull Bore Cleaners for Pistols, Rifles & Shotguns
GRITR has released a new series of caliber-specific Bore Cleaning Ropes designed for quick barrel maintenance in the field or at the range. The ropes are intended to offer a single-pass cleaning solution for pistols, rifles, and shotguns, and are built around a braided cord with an embedded brass brush and a weighted lead-free tip.
Cleaning Firearms @ TFB:
I use similar types of ropes, especially for my rifles, and while it may not replace a proper clean-up, I’ve been happy with the result and it’s good to have alternatives from other sources.
Each model is marked with its respective caliber to avoid mix-ups and ensure a proper fit. The ropes are made from polyester with reinforced binding, and the company states they are resistant to fraying and suitable for repeated use.
The One-pull bore cleaners are designed for the following weapons and calibers:
- Pistols: .22/380/9mm/.38/.357, .44/.45
- Rifles: .22/.223/5.56/6mm/.243/.308/30-30/30-06/.300/.303/7.62
- Shotguns: 12GA
Regardless of which option you go for, they all cost $8.99 each.
According to GRITR, the compact format is meant to fit into range bags, vests, or pockets for on-the-spot cleaning without solvent bottles, rods, or patches. All Bore Cleaning Ropes are covered by the company’s Unlimited GRIT Lifetime Warranty.
The new cleaning ropes are available now through GritrGear.com and Amazon.

Great, now they should focus on making a bore-snake cleaner.
